Controlled battery pre-processing and black-mass production for a more circular energy economy.See our process

01 · Input

End-of-life batteries are not an endpoint.

03 · Circular value

Material stays in motion—and closer to the industries that need it.

The material opportunity

Retired batteries still hold value.

Mirai Greentech prepares end-of-life lithium-ion batteries for their next material cycle—concentrating valuable battery-bearing material into black mass and creating a responsible route back toward supply.

From stored energy to recoverable material.

What we do

A disciplined first step in the circular battery chain.

Our current focus is clear: prepare lithium-ion battery material responsibly, produce black mass, and build dependable partnerships around what comes next.

The process

Material moves forward with intention.

A controlled pathway from incoming battery material to black mass prepared for downstream recovery.

  1. 01

    Intake and assessment

Feedstock is documented and assessed by format and battery chemistry before it enters a controlled processing route.

  2. 02

    Safe preparation

Batteries are prepared for processing through defined handling and segregation procedures suited to their condition.

  3. 03

    Mechanical processing

Controlled size reduction and separation concentrate valuable battery-bearing material while separating other fractions.

  4. 04

    Black-mass output

The resulting black mass becomes an industrial input for downstream critical-mineral recovery and refining pathways.

  5. 05

    Circular return

Recovered material can move back toward the battery value chain, reducing resource loss and supporting more resilient supply.

Black mass is an input to downstream material recovery—not the end of the story.

What stays in motion

Critical materials deserve another cycle.

Downstream separation and refining are part of Mirai’s development roadmap. We state that distinction clearly while building toward a deeper circular-material capability.
